Kari Lund and Bjørn Ekerbakke are the hosts at Bessheim Mountain Lodge. The lodge has been in Kari’s family since it was started in 1890, and it has developed from a small mountain pasture named Bessætra, to a modern mountain lodge named Bessheim.
Kari grew up on the farm Nordgard Storvik, which is the farm that originally owned Bessætra mountain farm. In 2005 Kari inherited the mountain lodge from her grandparents Kari & Knut Lund, and she now runs the family business with Bjørn. Bjørn is originally from the valley Valdres, and he is formally educated as a chef. He has been working with mountain tourism for many years, and before working at Bessheim he was a host at Haugseter.
